Smith, Roland	Elephant Run When Nick's apartment building gets hit one night during the Blitz, his mom sends him to Burma to stay with his dad on the family teak plantation. Nick has longed to et back there to be with his dad and among the elephants, but as soon as he arrives so do the Japanese. Now the British residents are being rounded up, and the Burmese natives are taking sides.
Smith, Roland	Peak Peak, yes that's his name, climbs and is finally caught after scaling a skyscraper and attempting to tag the top! His mother and stepfather are at a loss and Peak is almost sent to Juvenile Detention when his long absent father steps in to save the day. Peak ends up on the slopes of Mt. Everest, set to be the youngest person to summit.
Sonnenblick, Jordan	Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie Steven is a normal 8th grader, a band geek, mooning over the class beauty, and annoyed to no end by his five-year-old brother Jeffrey. However, all his problems become secondary, to everyone but him that is, when Jeffrey is diagnosed with Lymphoma.
